Whew… Proud of my first half marathon!
My NIKE Sportband was accurate up until after 13km. It shows that I was running at a fairly constant pace until I hit my wall when I reached 13km… 16km is the farthest that I’ve actually run before. This being my first 21k… I wanted to enjoy the experience. Each and every painful, tiring, step of the way and all 2hrs 41minutes and 6 seconds of it.
Congrats to everyone who ran! I’ll post pictures and more stories soon. Time for me to get some sleep…

Congrats on your first half Eric. Smart Ninoy shirt as well. 1984 was an extraordinary year.

Congrats on your first 21K!!! You did great! BTW, it was great meeting you when you were with Coach Rio at Kabisera last Friday. I was the one who approached your table on the way out. May you have more powerful 21K finishes in the near future!!

Hi Wilson! Thanks! Congrats also for your run.
Uhmm… Nike+ is fairly accurate IF you have a consistent stride (ie. your steps dont get longer or shorter). Unlike Garmin FR, which is a GPS watch and uses 3 satellites to accurately pinpoint your location, the Nike+ is a foot pod, meaning, it counts how many steps you take.
Looking at my run earlier, it was fairly accurate when I was running at a constant pace of 5:50-6:15mins per km… but the moment I started walking, it screwed up the distance. One thing that is accurate about the Nike+ is the time… and it looks nice. Downside also is that you can only use it with Nike+ shoes, unless you buy a shoe pouch. Search my site for “gear” I think I have a review or links to the Nike+ gear

Hi Cecil! Thanks! I didn’t see you last Sunday. How was your run?
Thanks Janine! Congrats on your 21k. I visted your blog
I also hit the wall around 13km… on-off-on-off… walk, jog, run… or what seemed like a run. My legs could not rise than just a few inches off the ground. Haha! But it was definitely worth running up and down SkyWay, don’t you agree? Hehe!
Hey Johnny! Nice to have finally met you. I realize that you were one of the first visitors of my site
Congrats also on your run, I’m sure you did well. Hope to see you in future races! (hopefully, the Men’s Health this Sunday
)
